Don’t Stop Believin’: E5C4P3 Brings Journey’s Glory Days to Tarara This Saturday

The band Journey’s E5C4P3 album cover.
Steve Perry-era vocals. Arena-rock anthems. One enormous singalong. And one more unforgettable Saturday under the stars during Tarara’s Final Encore season.

Turn up the synth. Cue the soaring guitar. Get ready for the opening piano notes that can turn an entire field full of people into one massive choir.

This Saturday, August 22, E5C4P3 (pronounced “Escape”)—The Journey Tribute lands at Shadow Lake with 2MB opening the night and one mission: to take Tarara back to the 1980s, when Journey and Steve Perry were at their absolute peak.

And with only six concerts remaining in the Final Encore season—including this one—this is not the Saturday to tell yourself, “Maybe next time.”

This Is More Than a Tribute. It’s a Time Machine.

E5C4P3 does not simply play Journey songs. The band recreates the full experience of a 1980s Journey concert, complete with the unmistakable Steve Perry-era sound and wardrobe inspired by the tours, albums, and music videos fans remember.

For anyone seeing the band for the first time, they describe the experience in one sentence:

“It is like going back in time 40 years to see Journey when the band and Steve Perry were at their peak!”

That means soaring vocals, huge guitar moments, wall-to-wall nostalgia, and the kind of arena-rock energy that makes standing still nearly impossible. Whether Journey was the soundtrack to your teenage years or you discovered these songs decades later, this show is built to make every fan feel like they scored a ticket to one of the biggest tours of the ’80s.

Yes, Everyone Is Waiting for That Song

You already know the moment.

The first piano notes ring out. Heads turn. Phones go up. Friends grab each other. Then thousands of voices join in on “Don’t Stop Believin’.”

E5C4P3 says it is the song audiences wait for all night—and for good reason. After the anthem reached 18-times-platinum status, Forbes called it “the biggest song of all time.”

Now imagine singing it beside Shadow Lake, surrounded by friends and fellow Journey fans, during the final season of the Tarara Summer Concert Series.

That is a Tarara moment you do not want to miss.

The Bigger the Crowd, the Bigger the Energy

E5C4P3 lives for large outdoor summer shows, where the energy travels in both directions—from the stage to the crowd and right back again.

“The energy and love that the crowd shows us keeps us coming back again and again!”

Tarara fans know exactly how to deliver that energy. We sing loudly, dance freely, cheer wildly, and turn an ordinary Saturday into the kind of summer night people talk about long after the final note.

For E5C4P3, this performance means even more. The band first contacted the Tarara Summer Concert Series in 2023 with hopes of one day playing here. They have followed the series ever since, and now they finally get their chance to perform for the Tarara crowd—albeit only once.

Their case for being here Saturday could not be simpler:

“Everyone loves Journey, and we do it right!”

Teachers, This Night Is for You, Too!

Saturday is also Teacher Appreciation Night. Educators receive 50% off General Admission tickets at the door with a valid educator ID.

After everything you do all year, consider this your invitation to trade lesson plans for legendary rock anthems, grab your friends, and spend a summer night singing under the stars.

Teacher Appreciation Night

Do Not Save This One for “Someday”

The Final Encore season is moving quickly. After Saturday night, only five Tarara concerts will remain—ever.

So bring your chairs, blankets, picnic setup, and favorite people. Come early, settle in beside Shadow Lake, catch 2MB, and get ready to sing every word when E5C4P3 brings the sound, look, and electricity of Journey’s glory days to Tarara.

Because there may be many ways to spend a Saturday night—but if you love Journey, this is the one.
