One Last Dance: The Reflex Brings the ’80s Back for Tarara’s Final Concert
Pull out the neon. Text the friends who always say, “We need to get back to Tarara.” This is the Saturday to make it happen.
On Saturday, September 26, 2026, The Reflex – Ultimate ’80s Music takes the stage for the final concert of the Tarara Summer Concert Series. We have one more night to fill the lawn, sing together beside Shadow Lake, and give this place the goodbye it deserves.
Gates open at 4:00 p.m., and the concert starts at 6:00 p.m. Come early, settle in with your favorite people, and make the most of every minute.
Ahead of the concert, we asked The Reflex what fans can expect and what Tarara has meant to them. Their answers have us ready to dance—and reach for a tissue.
“We’re coming ready to give Tarara everything we’ve got: huge songs, lots of energy, audience interaction, and the kind of show where you’re singing and dancing right along with us,” the band shared.
That sounds like our kind of farewell.
The Reflex brings rock, pop, and new wave together in a celebration of a decade that never learned to keep the volume down. Whether your ’80s memories involve a cassette collection or you discovered these songs long after their MTV debuts, there’s a place for you in this party.

When we asked which song gets the biggest reaction, The Reflex pointed to “Don’t Stop Believin’.” It’s a moment when the audience takes over and the voices coming from the lawn become part of the show.
“Hearing hundreds or even thousands of people singing those words back to you never gets old,” they told us. “Those are the moments that remind us why we love doing this.”

For The Reflex, those memories stretch back 21 years. Their first Tarara concert was September 17, 2005, and they’ve returned once or twice a year ever since.
Over the years, their family and friends have traveled from across the country to join them here. The band even knows couples who met at Tarara Reflex shows and are now happily married with children. Somewhere between the songs, the dancing, and the evenings spent together, this concert tradition became part of people’s family stories.
It’s easy to understand why saying goodbye carries so much weight.
Asked what makes Tarara different, The Reflex described the sun going down, the lawn filling up, and the whole place coming alive when the music starts. They spoke about friends and families who plan around these concerts, mark their calendars, and return year after year.
“They come ready to have fun, and from the stage, we can feel that energy immediately,” the band said. “It feeds us all night and makes the experience amazing for everyone.”
Saturday is our chance to send that energy right back to them.
