First Time at Tarara? Here’s How to Actually Do It Right

If you’ve never been to the Tarara Summer Concert Series, here’s the honest truth:
Most first-timers don’t get the full experience.
Not because they don’t enjoy it—
But because they treat it like a typical night out.
Tarara isn’t that.
It’s a setup, not a stop.
Here’s how to do it right.
1. Timing Is Everything
Gates open at 5:00PM, unless stated differently on the schedule.
Music starts at 6:00PM.
If you show up at 6:15PM, you’ve already missed part of what makes the night work.
Early arrival gives you:
Better space
Less stress
Time to settle in
Concert Club members? Even earlier access.
That alone changes the entire experience.

2. Bring Your Environment With You
This is not a “stand around and watch” event.
It’s:
Chairs
Blankets
Picnic, if you choose, or we have food trucks on site
Your group
Your spot for the night
Think of it as building your own front-row experience.
3. Plan to Stay the Whole Time
Tarara isn’t a quick in-and-out.
Once you’re in:
You’re not leaving
You’re not bouncing to another place
You’re in it
And that’s the point.
You settle in.
You relax.
You let the night unfold.
4. Food, Drinks, and Flow Matter
Part of the experience is:
Great food vendors. We have an array of food and dessert trucks each week. The list of trucks participating each week is posted to our Facebook page.
Local beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic
That steady rhythm of the night building
Don’t rush it.
The best nights at Tarara are the ones where you’re not watching the clock.
5. Decide Before Summer Gets Away From You
Here’s what happens every year:
People say:
“Let’s go at some point.”
And then:
Weekends fill up
Plans stack
Summer moves fast
Suddenly it’s late August.
And they missed most of it.
6. Make the Call Now
If you’re even considering going, don’t leave it open-ended.
Pick your nights.
Or better yet—lock in your access for the season.
🎟️ Secure your tickets now by visiting the Schedule and take the guesswork out of it.
Because once you experience Tarara the right way…
You won’t want to be the person saying, “We should have gone more.”
