What’s Your Tarara Story?

For 27 summers, the Tarara Summer Concert Series has been more than a Saturday night.
It has been the place where families gathered on blankets. Where friends claimed their favorite spot on the lawn. Where kids danced barefoot while the sun dropped behind the trees. Where couples had first dates, anniversaries, proposals, celebrations, and long-overdue nights out. Where neighbors became friends. Where strangers sang the same lyrics together. Where the music, the wine, the view, and the people created something that could never be fully captured in a photo.
Tarara has never just been about the band on stage.
It has been about everything that happened around it.
The walk up the hill with chairs over your shoulder. The laughter from the food truck lines. The clink of a wine glass. The glow of the stage as daylight turned into evening. The kids running through the grass. The friends who somehow always found each other. The dancing in front of the stage. The one song that made everyone stop talking and start singing.
It has been about the moments that snuck up on us.
The kind you did not know would matter so much until years later.
That is what makes this Final Encore Season so meaningful.
After 27 years, we are not just closing out another concert season. We are honoring a tradition that has become part of people’s lives. For some, Tarara was a yearly ritual. For others, it was the place they discovered their favorite local band. For many, it became the soundtrack to summer in Loudoun County.
And now, we want to hear from you.
What has Tarara meant to you over the years?
What is your story?
Maybe you came to your first concert with friends and never missed a season after that. Maybe your kids grew up coming here. Maybe you met someone special at Tarara. Maybe you danced in the rain, celebrated a birthday, toasted a milestone, or found comfort in returning to the same familiar place summer after summer.
Maybe you simply have one perfect memory: a favorite song, a favorite band, a favorite sunset, a favorite night.
We want to collect those stories.
We want to hear the memories, the traditions, the funny moments, the emotional ones, the photos, the favorite concerts, and the reasons this series has mattered to you.
Because Tarara was never built by one person, one family, one business, one band, or one season.
It was built by everyone who showed up.
Everyone who bought a ticket. Everyone who brought a chair. Everyone who packed a picnic. Everyone who danced. Everyone who sang. Everyone who came back, year after year, and made this place feel alive.
This Final Encore Season is our chance to celebrate all of it.
Not just the music.
The memories.
The people.
The tradition.
The magic.
So before the final note fades this September, we invite you to share your Tarara story with us.
Send your memories, photos, favorite concert moments, and reflections to:
We may feature select stories throughout the season as we celebrate 27 years of live music, community, and unforgettable summer nights.
And if Tarara has meant something to you, do not wait to come back.
Come sit on the lawn one more time.
Come hear the music one more time.
Come raise a glass one more time.
Come dance under the stars one more time.
Let’s make sure we remember it together.
